There are two boards that manage operations throughout SAU53. The Executive Board consists of one board member from each school district. They traditionally meet once a month and serve as a means of communication to keep sending boards informed.

The Full SAU board consists of all members of all district boards and meets twice a year usually at the start and the end of the school year.

Scheduled meetings are subject to change without notice.

The A.R.E.A Advisory Committee meets as necessary to address concerns of the districts participating in the A.R.E.A agreement.
